Inconclusive results of elastic and nonelastic taping on spinal pain and disability
Phys Ther. 2015 Apr;95(4):493-506.8 randomized controlled trials were included in this systematic review and meta-analysis to determine the efficacy of elastic and nonelastic taping on neck pain and lower back pain in comparison to placebo/sham treatment and no treatment. Outcomes related to pain and disability were analyzed. Results demonstrated no conclusive evidence in favor of either elastic or nonelastic tape treatment when compared to placebo/sham or no treatment for both low back pain and neck pain. GRADE quality of evidence was judged to be very-low to low.
