Norepinephrine useful in reducing hypotension & bradycardic events in rotator cuff repair

One hundred and nineteen patients undergoing arthroscopic rotator cuff repair were randomly assigned to a norepinephrine (0.66 mg/L) group or an epinephrine (0.33 mg/L) group to evaluate the efficacy of each treatment. The findings showed that the occurrence rate of hypotensive and bradycardic events (HBEs) was significantly greater in the epinephrine group, but no significant differences were seen between groups in average time of onset of HBEs, accompanying symptoms, and clarity of the visual field.
