APTA 2015: Efficacy in correcting scapular dyskinesia for shoulder impingement syndrome
30 patients diagnosed with shoulder impingement syndrome were randomized to either therapeutic exercises and mobilization, or therapeutic exercises and mobilization with the addition of scapular dyskinesia correcting exercises. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of correcting scapular dyskinesia in treatment of impingement syndrome. Findings in this study showed significant improvement in both groups, although greater improvement was seen in the group with the addition of scapular dyskinesia correcting exercises.
