23 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included in this systematic review to determine the efficacy of caudal, lumbar interlaminar, and transforaminal epidural injection techniques in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Findings indicated that fluoroscopic epidural injections improved pain and function in the short term in all three techniques.
