99 patients were randomized to receive either a fixed-bearing or mobile-bearing total knee arthroplasty. The goal of this study was to determine the effects of the implant designs on outcomes as measured up to an average of 4 years after surgery. Outcome measures included the Knee Society Score Knee (KSS-Knee) and Function (KSS-Function) scores, the Oxford Knee Score, and knee range of motion. Results indicated that there was no significant difference between the implant designs at 4 years for any of the outcomes of interest.
