Improved positive cognition with online self-management for adults with arthritis
J Behav Med. 2015 Jun;38(3):483-96

245 patients with arthritis were randomized to undergo online self-management by utilizing the arthritis module in painACTION or were assigned to a waitlist control group. The purpose of the study was to assess the effectiveness of the arthritis module in improving cognition, pain, the frequency of self-management behaviors, and self-efficacy. Findings indicated that although those that underwent online self-management showed overall improvements, pain was not affected by the intervention.
