Revision risk with THA bearing surfaces in patients younger than 65: network meta-analysis
Clin Orthop Relat Res. 2015 Jun;473(6):2031-4118 randomized controlled trials were selected for a direct comparison meta-analysis and network meta-analysis in a review of hip bearing surfaces commonly used in total hip arthroplasty for patients younger than 65, and associated risk of revision. The results showed similar results regarding risk of revision between ceramic-on-ceramic, ceramic-on-highly crosslinked polyethylene, metal-on-highly crosslinked polyethylene and ceramic-on-conventional polyethylene.
