THA: Digital pre-operative plans are superior to analogue pre-operative plans
J Arthroplasty. 2007 Sep;22(6):866-70. Epub 2007 Mar 28210 total hip arthroplasties were randomized to undergo digital pre-operative planning or analogue pre-operative planning. The results indicate that digital pre-operative plans outperform analogue pre-operative plans and statistically significant differences were found in the accuracy of planning of the cup position and in the radiographic assessment, specifically the implanted cup and stem components.
