J Orthop Sci. 2015 Sep;20(5):837-43

57 patients with lateral epicondylitis were randomized to receive either a single injection that combined sodium hyaluronate and chondroitin sulfate, or a single injection of triamcinolone. The purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy of these treatments on pain and function over 6 months after injection. The results displayed improvements within both groups for pain and function up to 6 months in comparison to baseline. However, better pain and function scores after 6 months in the patients receiving the combination injection were noted.
