Minimal invasive total knee arthroplasty outcomes comparable to standard approach
J Arthroplasty. 2007 Jan;22(1):8-13.80 knees were randomized to either receive minimally invasive (minimal incision) surgical technique during total knee arthroplasty (TKA), or the standard TKA procedure. After the 3 month follow-up, results showed the use of MIS did not show an improvement over the standard TKA procedure in terms of functional and objective scores.
