74 subjects with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction were randomized to undergo either a 6-month neuromuscular training (NT) program or a traditional strength training (ST) program for rehabilitation. Results indicated that the NT group experienced significantly improved scores for global knee function (Cincinnati Knee Scores and VAS) compared to the ST group at the 6-month follow-up.
