103 patients with cervical disc disease were randomized to either receive anterior cervical decompression and fusion (ACDF) using a cervical intervertebral fusion cage, or ACDF using the Cloward Procedure, to compare long-term treatment efficacy. Results at the 76 month follow-up indicated no difference in the outcome measures between the use of a fusion cage or the Cloward Procedure.
