AAOS 2016: Osteochondral autograft vs. allograft plugs for osetochondral talar dome lesion
40 patients with large or recurrent osteochondral lesions of the talar dome (OLT) were randomized to receive treatment with either osteochondral allograft or autograft plugs. The purpose of this study was to determine if either graft procedure was associated with significantly improved pain, function, and radiographic measures when assessed after final follow-up. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups in the studied outcome measures.
