Cervical plus thoracic manipulation vs. mobilization and exercise for cervicogenic headaches

110 patients with cervicogenic headache were randomized to receive either cervical and thoracic manipulation or mobilization and exercise. The purpose of this study was to compare the two treatment methods to determine their effects in treating cervicogenic headaches. Findings indicated significantly greater reductions for headache intensity, frequency, and duration, as well as improvements in disability, and patient perceived improvement in patients who received cervical and thoracic manipulation compared to individuals who received mobilization and exercise, after 3 months assessment.
