120 patients scheduled for arthroscopic double-row repair of a supraspinatus tear, with or without a concomitant tear, were randomized to intraoperative administration of an injection of platelet-rich plasma at the tendon footprint, or subacromial injection of ropivacaine. No significant differences between groups were observed for any outcome measured.
