A definitive trial evaluating the Guide to Action Care Home fall prevention program is possible

Epub 2015 Sep 18.Six long-term care homes were included in this two-center, cluster feasibility randomized controlled trial to determine if a definitive trial evaluating the impact of the Guide to Action Care Home fall-prevention program in elderly care home residents could be completed. The results of this feasibility trial indicate that a definitive trial is possible, that care home records are a reliable source for tracking falls, and that the Guide to Action Care Home fall prevention program has a preliminary effect in fall prevention compared to controls.
