Minocylcine not effective for reducing pain following carpal tunnel or trigger finger release
J Hand Surg Am. 2017 Mar;42(3):166-174

131 adult veterans diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome or trigger finger who were scheduled for standard open release were included in this study to evaluate the effects of minocycline on pain in comparison to a placebo. Patients were given minocycline or a placebo perioperatively and for 5 days postoperatively. The results of this trial indicated that minocycline did not reduce time to pain resolution when compared to placebo, nor significantly impact function at 3 months postoperatively.
