Network meta-analysis comparing six methods of fixation for clavicle fractures
Disabil Rehabil. 2017 Jan;39(2):105-112Nineteen randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and non-RCTs were included in this network meta-analysis comparing postoperative function between standard plates, reconstruction plates, hook plates, tension band wiring, titanium elastic nails, and Knowles pins. Combination of direct and indirect comparisons favoured functional outcome after reconstruction plating versus titanium elastic nailing, Knowles pins, and hook plates. All treatment options, included standard plating and tension band wiring, were significantly favoured over fixation with hook plates.
