Additive low-level laser therapy improves pain and ROM outcomes for subacromial syndrome

80 patients suffering from subacromial syndrome were randomized to determine the efficacy of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) as an additive therapeutic measure to physical therapy. Patients were allocated to receive a 10-session, 2-week physical exercise program combined with either LLLT or sham-LLLT treatment. The results demonstrated that the addition of LLLT significantly improved pain and range of motion of the shoulder compared to the physical therapy alone.
