Foot Ankle Int. 2010 Dec;31(12):1099-106.

40 healthy volunteers randomized to no ankle taping group or to an intervention group with ankle taping to study the effects of ankle taping on joint position sense (JPS). They were asked to reproduce four different ankle positions: 10 degrees of dorsiflexion, neutral, 10 degrees and 20 degrees of plantarflexion. After 48 hours, taping was found to significantly improve JPS, evidenced especially in dorsiflexion positions. Neutral position was most accurately reproduced, while others were overestimated.
