Contributing Authors

Five studies - two randomized controlled trials and three retrospective cohort studies - were included in this meta-analysis, which compared re-tear rate and functional outcome measures between groups who were treated with arthroscopic rotator cuff repair with and without additional bone marrow stimulation. Pooled result for re-tear rate demonstrated a significantly lower incidence among groups who received BMS compared to groups who did not. Functional outcome scores (DASH, UCLA, Constant) did not significantly differ between groups.
