ISAKOS 2015: Increased accuracy of biceps tendon sheath injection with ultrasound guide

30 patients experiencing pain due to tenosynovitis and/or tendonitis of the biceps tendon were included in this study. The purpose of this trial was to assess whether the accuracy of the pain relief injection into the tendon sheath of the long head of the biceps brachii was greater with the use of an ultrasound guide, or without. The study found that the accuracy of the injection was significantly increased when it was ultrasound-guided.
