79 patients were randomized to compare the effectiveness of high-pressure pulsatile lavage and low-pressure lavage during open debridement of orthopaedic implant infections. Patients received either low- or high-pressure pulsatile lavage and were assessed after 1 year. The use of high-pressure lavage was revealed to have a similar success rate as low-pressure lavage during open debridement of implant infections.
