100 patients suffering from knee osteoarthritis were randomized to undergo total knee arthroplasty with either cemented or hybrid fixation (cementless femoral fixation/cemented tibia component). The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal fixation method of Rotaglide mobile-bearing total knee arthroplasty with respect to survival and revision rates, clinical, and radiological outcomes. Results indicated no statistically significant differences in these outcomes between fixation techniques at 8-12 years.
