No significant difference in post-rotator cuff repair rehab results with or without pulley
Am J Sports Med. 2016 Jul;44(7):1844-51.

53 patients undergoing arthroscopic supraspinatus repair were randomized to undergo a physical therapy protocol with or without the inclusion of pulley exercises. The purpose of this study was to determine if pulley exercises resulted in excessive scapular motion and inferior patient-reported outcomes (Western Ontario Rotator Cuff [WORC] Index, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons [ASES] Score, Simple Shoulder Test, and Single Assessment Numeric Evaluation [SANE] Score) when compared to physical therapy without these exercises throughout a 12-month follow-up period. Both groups demonstrated significant improvements in patient-reported outcomes, range of motion, motor strength, and scapular substitution over the follow-up period, with no between-group differences noted.
