72 patients scheduled to undergo uncemented total hip arthroplasty (THA) with similar rehabilitation plan were randomized to the surgical approach of either a two-incision or a mini-posterior-incision surgical technique. At 1 year after surgery, the two-incision technique was observed to have a longer mean operative time, slower postoperative recovery, with similar complication rate compared to the mini-posterior-incision technique.
