No difference in 3-year outcome between volar plate and external fixator for dorsally displaced DRF
J Hand Surg Am.2019....140 patients with a distal radius fracture with dorsal displacement were randomized to fixation using either a volar locking plate or an external fixator. Patients were followed-up in the current study at 3 years postoperatively, and reported clinical scores, grip strength, and wrist range of motion. Results demonstrated no significant differences between groups in any of the assessed efficacy measures.
