27 patients with a distal femur fracture were randomized to be treated with either the Non-Contact Bridging (NCB-DF) polyaxial plate or the Less Invasive Stabilizing System (LISS) monoaxial plate. The purpose of this study was to compare clinical/functional and radiographic outcome between to the two systems over the first postoperative year. Overall, differences in functional outcome were not statistically significant, and secondary loss of reduction was similar between groups.
