J Rehabil Med. 2018 Jul 17;50(7):577-581. doi: 10.2340/16501977-2334Three randomized controlled trials were included in this meta-analysis which evaluated the effect of balance training on fall incidence, functional balance (Berg Balance Scale), and functional performance (Timed Up and Go test) in individuals with osteoporosis. Pooled analysis on fall incidence demonstrated a significantly lower incidence among individuals who participated in balance training compared to individuals who continued activities as usual. No significant differences between balance training and control were observed in pooled analyses of functional balance and function performance.
